Triumph Games has declared the selection of Julio Iglesias Hernando as its new head of business operations. The former William Hill executive will assume the position.
Hernando joins Triumph Games, located in Greece, from William Hill, where he previously served as the head of marketing and managing director of international operations.
In this role, Hernando was also in charge of operations in 12 markets outside of the US and UK, including the Mr Green division.
Triumph stated the appointment is part of its strategic plan to include global experience in its management team to support its expansion plans for its Betano brand.
Betano operates in Brazil, Portugal, Germany, Romania, Greece, and Cyprus.
“I am excited to contribute to our continued success, placing Triumph as a leader in the markets we operate in, and utilizing international opportunities and challenges to continue to aggressively expand our presence in the international gaming technology sector,” Hernando stated.
The head of Kaizen, George Dascalakis, expressed his confidence in Julio’s abilities. He believes that Julio’s expertise, capabilities, and determination, coupled with his positive attitude and collaborative spirit, will contribute to Kaizen’s ongoing pursuit of industry leadership on a global scale.
This appointment follows the recent appointment of Klaus Jansen as the new Head of Affiliate Marketing and Media Buying for Kaizen.
OPAP, a subsidiary of Sazka, holds a significant stake in Kaizen’s operations. In November, OPAP acquired an additional stake in Stoiximan Group’s operations in Greece and Cyprus, increasing their overall stake in that part of the business.
