As the chart indicates, mobile total income has not only increased substantially since 2003, but its share of overall iGaming income has also risen quickly, especially in the past five years.

H2 forecasts that mobile will account for over 51% of total iGaming income by 2023, although many operators are already reporting that over 50% of their income comes from mobile channels, particularly in sports betting. As the donut chart illustrates, 68% of mobile income comes from sports betting.

Intriguingly, while Europe accounts for the majority of global mobile income, the Asia Pacific/Middle East region has a higher percentage of its total income coming from mobile devices. This is likely due to the slow development of fixed-line broadband in some countries, particularly in Asia, with many users skipping desktop computers altogether and using mobile devices as their initial internet device.
