Abios Appoints Anton Janer as New Managing Director
Anton Janer has taken on the position of Managing Director at Abios, a provider of esports data and odds, succeeding Oskar Fröberg, who has stepped down.
Fröberg, who established the company alongside Janer in 2013, is moving on to explore new ventures. Janer, formerly the Chief Technology Officer, brings more than ten years of expertise to his new post, which he will officially assume on May 1st.
Kambi Group acquired Abios in 2021 for a sum of $17.2 million. Fröberg oversaw the acquisition process and conveyed his assurance in Janer’s capabilities to guide the company’s future growth.
Kambi has already incorporated Abios’ FIFA odds product into its sports betting platform and intends to broaden this integration to encompass NBA2K, CS:GO, and League of Legends. At present, Kambi and Abios jointly provide odds for approximately 6,000 esports matches monthly.
Janer expresses enthusiasm for his new leadership role and the opportunity to steer Abios into its subsequent phase of development.
