Fanatics Group has designated Andrea Ellis to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for its wagering and gaming subsidiary, Fanatics Betting and Gaming (FBG). Ellis will be instrumental in the company’s rollout of a novel online sports wagering platform.
Ellis possesses a wealth of knowledge from her prior roles. She functioned as CFO of Lime, the electric scooter and bike-sharing enterprise. Prior to that, she held numerous positions at Restaurant Brands International (RBI), encompassing Head of Investor Relations and Global FP&A, CFO and temporary Head of Retail for Tim Hortons, and General Manager of Popeyes.
Matt King, CEO of FBG, conveyed his enthusiasm regarding Ellis joining the team, emphasizing her remarkable history of spearheading financial and expansion endeavors at major consumer brands. He is confident her proficiency will be critical for the enduring triumph and worldwide growth of FBG.
In her latest capacity, Ellis will report to King and supervise all financial facets of FBG, including accounting, financial planning, taxation, and expense management. She will also assume a pivotal function in formulating the company’s overarching business approach and overseeing transactions and fraud mitigation.
